Additionally, we have great Personal Trainers who are willing to work one-on-one with you to develop and implement a plan to help you achieve your health-related goals.
C.H.A.N.G.E. for Children
C.H.A.N.G.E. for Children is a 12-week physical activity and nutrition program committed to helping youth develop healthy attitudes in nutrition growth and education for ages 6-16 years old.
This program is a safe and effective way to help children raise their self-esteem and confidence, and improve their health through fun physical activity and exercise. Our goal is to bring about life changing behaviors that lead to a healthier child. Family activities and lessons are scheduled throughout the session. We understand that a positive lifestyle change is a change for the whole family.

Diabetes Prevention Program
Fueled by rising obesity rates, unhealthy eating, and declining physical activity, nearly 26 million people in the US currently have diabetes. Seventy-nine million are affected by pre-diabetes, but only 10% know they have it. So, what can be done to help?
The Goldsboro Family YMCA is now offering the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program helps those at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles to reduce their chances of developing diabetes, which can cost patients $14,000 annually in health care costs.
