Things to Remember
Pool Closings - Anytime the pool is to be closed a notice will be put up
near the main door to the pool.
Swim Meets - When we host a weekend swim meet the entire Aquatics area is
closed off to swimmers. You are welcome to go to the observation deck an watch the action.
Pool Parties - These occur on Saturday and Sunday and will use part of the
L-shape area or Deep Area.
Swim Lessons - These can take place anywhere in the pool area at varying
times throughout the day and week. Please be courteous and give them some space.
Friday Nights - Every Friday from 4:30-7:00PM we put both of our pool
inflatables in the water for Family Fun Night, this is a great time for members
and their families to play together in the water. Our Flick and Floats will resume in the Fall.
Holidays - The pool schedule and its use will be modified to accommodate
major holidays.
Deep Area
Water Aerobics classes will take place from 8:30-9:30AM and 5:30-7:00PM.
Outside of those times this area is open for anyone to use. Friday nights this
area is reserved for our giant pool inflatable from 4-7:30PM.
Lane Lanes
Our YMCA Sharks Swim Team uses 3-5 lanes from 8-10AM & 5:30-7:30PM during the week.
Outside of those times, these lanes are available for adult lap swim, exercise, or walking.
You must be courteous to other members and allow them to share lanes using the circle swimming technique when the pool is crowded.
Groups
Most of the pool area outside of the lane lines will be used by various daycares and summer camps from the hours of
10AM-4PM Monday-Friday.
L-Shape Area
Water Aerobics classes will take place from 9-10AM and 5-8PM. Outside of those times this area is open for anyone to use.
Friday nights this area will have our smaller pool inflatable from 4-7:30PM (It will not take up the entire area)
Thunder & Lightning
As always the YMCA will close its pools and clear the deck whenever thunder
is heard or lightning is seen. They will remain closed until 30 minutes after the last time thunder is heard or lightning is seen.
