GOLD Sharks Swim Team is a year-round YMCA competitive swim team. We are sanctioned by the YMCA and by USA Swimming, allowing our swimmer to compete in YMCA and USA meets. This gives our swimmers the opportunity to compete at the best level for their ability. The Sharks practice group structure is designed by the coaches to help all swimmers to develop and be challenged no matter what their ability level may be. Group assignments are based on age and skill level and are determined by the coaching staff.

Competition Philosophy-

We believe that regular competition is vital to a swimmer’s development. Swimmer participation in meets allows the coaches to track development, swimmers to put skills in action, and provides bonding for the team. A swimmer who does not compete will not develop as well as a swimmer who does. While all meets are optional, we highly encourage all swimmers to compete as often as possible. We schedule meet every 4-6 weeks depending on the time of season.
